Interstate Business Equipment, the parent company of Modern Banking Systems, was founded in Omaha, Nebraska in 1963 to provide community banks with hardware, sales, and service. Two core philosophies became the driving force behind our business: One Solution One Company and Our Customers Are Our Partners!  Over 40 years later we remain independent, just like you, and we continue to build our business based on a “turnkey” solution and strong partnerships with our clients!

Modern Banking Systems was founded in 1975 as the marketing organization. A decision was made to write a complete core application for the independent community bank, and today over 300 banks process with MBS technology. Over 100 people are involved in consultation, program research and development of both hardware and software, ongoing maintenance services, networking communications, installation and training, customer service support, IT security services, and marketing.
