Fire at Bank of Nebraska "I was on my way to work on a Tuesday morning, when I received the call that the bank was on fire. I immediately proceeded to Modern Banking Systems’ office in Ralston, where I told them we needed to implement our disaster contingency plan. . .MBS was able to provide everything we needed. . .We were up and running by 3:00 PM the day of the fire. At seven that evening we had night processing completed by the usual time. The next day was Wednesday, July 4th. By noon on Thursday, the phone system was fully operational. That day all Level I (top priority) computers were cleaned, checked, tested, and returned to service at our temporary location or replaced and put into service. On Monday phone/PC banking was also completely operational. . . Modern Banking Systems did a wonderful job of carrying out our disaster contingency plan. When we had to implement our plan, I knew they were going to do a great job."
